This quaint pizzeria is known for its authentic wood-fired pizzas, casual ambiance, and friendly service, making it an ideal spot for family dinners or night-outs with friends.
The highlight of La Pernella undoubtedly lies in its pizza. The commitment to crafting authentic Naples-style pizzas is evident in every bite. A crowd favorite, the namesake La Pernella pizza, is topped with aubergine, cherry tomatoes, and a generous sprinkling of rocket. Diners rave about the thin, crispy crust that holds each topping with the wood-fired flavor that brings out the freshness of the ingredients.
Accompany your pizza with delightful appetizers like olives and freshly baked bread drizzled in oil and balsamic vinaigrette. Guests have noted that the Quattro Formaggi is not to be missed, showcasing a melty combination of four rich cheeses.
Don’t forget to save room for their tiramisu—a classic Italian dessert. While some customers have noted variations in sweetness, the overall flavor remains satisfying. Their modest yet fruity house wine complements the dishes splendidly, although patrons have expressed a desire for expanded beverage options.

“ Had ordered from here on Deliveroo so thought we would give it a go eating in and we enjoyed it. It's low priced, 2 of us had 2 entrees and wine for less than £30. The pizza is really good! Proper Naples style pizza and a good range of choice of toppings. The pasta was also good, if slightly undercooked, but if I came again I would choose the pizza. Service was friendly but slow. We kind of got ignored once our mains had been delivered so I think they can definitely improve in this area. ”
“ Best pizza in Wandsworth, very quick delivery. Tiramisu is the real deal, lots of egg yolk etc. ”
“ Found this place last night after a trip to the hairdressers, no one appears to have reviewed this for a while so I'll go. Lovely little place, we (me and bf) came up as late diners at about 8/8.30pm, definitely more of a pizzeria than an Italian restaurant, not many diners or wait staff but we were seated and orders taken quickly. We had some olives and some bread with oil and balsamic vinegar to share, the bread was REALLY good I was disappointed that they didn't have dipping pots though they just had it drizzled over it so it was a little dry, I did resort to dipping the bread in the bowl of olives we had. I ordered a coke which was clearly from tap, it tasted kind of funny like the CO2 or mix needed changing, when I asked for a new one the manager/owner who was sitting dining, overheard me and immediately made sure I got just a regular can of coke, so that was really nice. I ordered the Quattro Formaggi (what's not to LOVE about a 4 cheese pizza), it was really good, thin base, lots of cheese, by bf ordered a spicy pizza, looked really good, none of it was overly greasy and bought out a pizza cutter for us. I did have to ask for more napkins, but the waiter was gracious and helpful. We ordered cappucino and hot chocolate and my bf ordered the Tiramisu (he always says the mark of a good Italian is the Tiramisu *eye roll*), I really liked it but it didn't taste very much of coffee and it was sweeter than standard Tiramisu's so that was a little disappointing and is the main fact in this being only 4 stars. The wine and beer list is very limited, it would be nice if they served a cider there or another beer as they only had Peroni Nastro Azzurro. Overall it was a nice place, inexpensive, simple and very relaxed. ”
“ I always thought this was an Italian but after finally visiting it is definitely a pizzeria! I had their namesake pizza which had aubergine, cherry tomato, Parmesan and heaps of rocket. It was really delicious, fresh toppings, tasty thin base with that wood fired flavour. They don't have much wine choice, but their house red is very fruity and easy to drink, plus a very generous 'glass' size (just realised why I'm so tired this morning!). We had a tastecard so 2 pizzas with wine and service came to £25. For that price you really can't complain. They do take away too, in the future I'll be getting pizza from La Pernella and not Dominos over the road! ”
“ The food here is really tasty and not expensive. There are many Italian restaurants in the area, but I think only here you can order an authentic wood-fired pizza and this is a big plus for them. The atmosphere is cozy and the waitresses are really attentive. Highly recommend it. ”
“ La Pernella turns into a classic greasy spoon caff by day. Big breakfasts with tea and toast for five English pounds. Lovely jubbly. ”
“ The food was brilliant. The service was also great. Three of us had 3 courses and wine for £60 which is decent. We were told that the place is under new management so it's worth a shot. I truly recommend it. For the price range it's a very good restaurant. ”
“ For breakfasts, you can't beat La Pernella in Earlsfield. It's informal, sometimes loud, but always reliable with loads of food which hits the spot. And with a choice of about 10 different types of breakfast, you don't have to worry about picking out the bits you don't like (baked beans - yuch). Its pizzas are good as a takeaway, although I've never eaten in when it transforms itself from a cafe into a restaurant for the evening. As a take-away pizza, it was good, although not the best I've ever had. I'll just stick to going there after a big night out, and enjoying my breakfast. Yum. ”
